A bursary scholarship is a solution for talented students to complete their tertiary education with ease. And that is what you will obtain when you are successfully win SMIT bursary scholarship. Nevertheless, the chance for the bursary scholarship is limited. First step to be qualified for the bursary, you should have intention to continue your study either at university of technology or university within these follow field of studies; maritime studies, marine engineering, cumatology/ oceanography for honours, post graduate studies or masters level. SMIT bursary scholarship program 2017 – 2018 look for applicants who can pass these following requirements, (1) you hold grade 12 with level-5 minimum or you obtain average 60% for science, maths, and English, (2) only citizen of South African who can apply the bursary, (3) unbounded students, or you have no bursary contract or you are not following any bursary at the time you apply bursary scholarship from SMIT, (4) provincial admission at CPUT or DUT for maritime economics or only CPUT for marine engineering, and (5) if you want to apply the bursary as climatology, oceanography or electrical engineering applicants, ensure that you are already registered as university/university of technology students at the time you are applying.

Send your application online to, firstname.lastname@example.org by tagging along your curriculum vitae which contains contactable reference, motivation letter, registration proof, and matric certificate, and recent university result. Make sure that the application is submitted before October 7th as late application is not considered. Only shortlisted applicants will get notification from SMIT by October 28th, if you have the notification with you, then you will be invited for telephonic or face to face interview. If you succeed, they will send another notification through email by December 9th. If you receive nothing, it indicates that the application is not successful.
